Who’s playing?

Color helper. Shows each note on the staff in its rainbow color, so beginners can match it to the colored buttons. Turn it off once she's reading on her own. Exact key only. Off: another octave of the same note counts. Microphone range: C2–C6. On: play the exact key shown. Landmark hints. After a wrong answer, show the nearest landmark note (like Treble G or Bass F) and how many steps away the answer is. Quiet microphone feedback. Celebrate on screen without playing a sound through the speakers.

Microphone tip: put the iPad on the music stand, keep the room quiet, and play one key at a time, release between answers, and keep the sustain pedal up. The green bar shows that it can hear the piano.
